This
very early sextant is an unusual heart shaped frame which
was built for a female Sea Captain. It is solid naval brass
in beautiful wooden box. |

large antique globe with a solid brass stand and arches.
There is a window on the side which displays information
about various places on the globe as the handle on the lower
part of the globe is rotated. |

display of a compass, long glass, four bubble sextants,
a plotting instrument for the navigation station of a ship
which has never been used, globe, an early deviation/variation
calculator and a boxed sextant. |

An
Octant made of naval brass with a black ebony frame. The
scale is of inlaid ivory. This very rare instrument was
made many years ago in London. They were generally order
with the construction of a ship and remained with the vessel.
This was the only method of navigation for the vessel. This
Octant has NORIE London inscribed on the ivory inset in
the center arch. |
