This may sound like a real fish story however it happened last weekend. Jason and Sue were powering out the basin in the Merit 25 when they were suddenly caught by a fisherman on the docks. The engine immediately stopped along with the boat. Interesting enough they spooled the guy, wrapping the entire line from his reel around the prop. It took a bit of work clearing the line, so be sure to watch for the fisherman lurking at the far end of our channel. I heard he is now replacing the line on his spool with 5,000 pound test. They were fortunate that nothing serious resulted from this fishing escapade, so watch out for the fisherman!
